Jon Stewart has a clip on Hulu where he (a jew) wonders if Obama isn't the Messiah. I know Jon Stewart is joking but just the fact that he (or his writers) are thinking about it is facinating to me. I think there is a good chance the world will come to think of Obama as a messiah type. Aka, the Anti-Christ.
I'll preface this by saying, It's just a possibility, anyone who is dogmatic about this kind of thing at this point loses all cred with me. Also I've never called anyone the anti-Christ before except in jest. Never thought it of any previous presidents or world leaders. Here are some reasons to think he might fit the profile, there are other ones that to my mind don't fit him, at least not now anyway.
BTW the biblical profile of the anti-Christ that this is lifted from was written in 05 and not applied to Obama as he was nowhere to be seen.
His dizzying accent to power. Dan 8:9
He'll be different from previous polititians, a unique leader. Dan 7:24
He'll be the great unifier apealing to people accross traditional lines. Rev 13:3
He'll most likely be a nominal Christian. 2 Cor 3-15
He'll be preceeded by a war king who crushes two mid-east govs. without touching the ground (planes and boats?) Dan 8:5-7, 20-21
He'll most likely arise from a nation of unrivaled power and whealth. (babylon and rome allegorically) Dan 7:7-8, 19,23
Feel free to veheminately disagree anyone who wishes and remember I didn't bring it up, the Jon made me do it. : )
